Sex & People - what does it look like for you?
“What does sexuality mean to you?”, have you thought about it or has anyone ever asked you this question? For some it’s a science, others think it’s all about active experience, or maybe after all it’s about love and intimacy? Safety you say? A community, self-expression or a creative hobby? A quirky space where you can be fully yourself and playful? Fantasies, or that place where everything follows a soothing pattern? It can cover all of this and even more, a full sphere from our desires and emotions to our physical connections with others.
Talking about sex is beneficial and helpful for anyone and everyone from any age, gender, life situation, ethnicity, religious background - alone or with your partner/s. Our sexuality grows with us throughout our lives and needs attention and care, same as any other part of us.
I offer a safe and supportive space to explore and address a variety of things, as long as it’s about you, your sexuality, your body and your connections. Whether you're dealing with something specific or you just wish to have a space to connect with yourself, I provide valuable insights and tools to help you work towards what you’re seeking for.
Techniques & experience
When writing this I have +200h of experience working with study clients at my own practise, established whilst studying for the sexology and relational therapy certifications.
I have experience with the following approaches:
CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: in a nutshell, the most common talking based approach to you and your thought patterns, thoughts, emotions and actions
Positive Narrative Therapy: an empowering approach where you learn to re-author your own life, recognise problem-saturated narratives and focus on your strengths, skills. You’re unique so you need an unique approach - that’s useful
EFT - Emotion Focused Therapy: an approach straight to your feelings, what are you feeling, what purpose do they serve and what can you learn from them? Support in recognising if the feeling need to be fixed, or recognised and supported, or transformed
Polyvagal theory approach: uses Stephen Porges' framework to understand how the autonomic nervous system (ANS) and the vagus nerve show up in us modern humans and influence behaviour, emotions, and health. Focus on finding your possible unconscious threats and then to regulate to build safety, social connection, and emotional resilience
Holistic therapy approach: meeting yourself as a whole person, in mind, body, and spirit, all connected. Looking at your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being to connect to your deep roots and boost overall health through things like mindfulness, yoga, nutrition, creativity and expressive arts

M’s Testimonial
“I have walked alongside Emmi for quite some time, and it feels important to me to share how meaningful this journey has been.
Working with Emmi has, from the very beginning, been exceptionally easy and safe. Emmi is approachable, warm, and genuinely present.
The way Emmi has reached the core of my thoughts has almost been surprising to me. When I struggle to find the words myself, Emmi has been able to put my experiences into words exactly the way I meant them. Emmi truly listens and observes – not only words, but also the body and the overall presence.
Emmi has acted as a mirror for me in a way that has increased my understanding of myself, my work, and my relationships. I have felt heard, understood, and met without judgment. With her, it has felt safe to also look at painful and conflicting emotions.
Our work together has strengthened my self-awareness and brought clarity to many areas of my life. I am grateful for this journey and can warmly recommend Emmi to you as well.”

G’s Testimonial
“It was my first time in therapy. I came in lost, thoughts rushing like a text without punctuation, unprocessed, held at bay. Emmi offered space and time, helping me place pauses where none existed. Through her presence, sensitivity, and insight, I found a mirror to explore my inner landscape: to discover boundaries, see dead ends as bridges, and welcome feelings as part of an ongoing evolution. What began as sex therapy gently unfolded into something broader: a deep reflection on myself as a whole person. Our work touched places I hadn’t expected to explore, and what I discovered there will stay with me.”
